- The ZEV Loan Program, funded by congressionally approved and lawfully awarded funds from the U.S. EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Grants, provides affordable financing to support projects that accelerate the transition of heavy–duty fleets to zero-emission. The program is designed to enable meaningful greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reductions by supporting the deployment and adoption of heavy-duty zero-emission vehicles and related fleet transition strategies. The program seeks to catalyze larger-scale fleet electrification efforts, leverage additional public and private investments, and accelerate the transition to zero-emission transportation across Illinois. Projects must demonstrate a clear Illinois nexus and contribute to the broader adoption of zero-emission transportation technologies throughout the state.
