Today marks Vice President of Climate Bank Programs Claire Brinley’s final full day with the Illinois Finance Authority (IFA). Since 2023, Claire has been instrumental in shaping the Climate Bank, helping guide the deployment of $460 million in federal funding. Under their leadership, the Climate Bank has expended over $15 million and committed tens of millions more across various programs. Her vision and commitment helped build a foundation that will continue supporting residents, businesses, and communities in implementing clean and equitable energy solutions for years to come.
The Authority, its Members, and staff wish to thank Claire for her unwavering commitment towards making Illinois greener, more equitable, and more affordable. While Climate Bank initiatives are long-term and will continue well beyond today, their impact will remain a lasting part of the Authority’s work. The Climate Bank team will carry forward the programs she championed as we continue expanding clean energy solutions across the State.
This fall, Claire will continue her growth as an advocate for environmental justice and pursue a Master’s in Urban and Environmental Policy and Planning. As she begins their graduate studies, Claire will continue to support us in a temporary, part-time capacity.
Though we will miss our colleague and friend, we are excited for the new opportunities ahead of her. We are deeply grateful for Claire’s invaluable service to the Climate Bank and the people of Illinois, and we wish them every success as she embarks on this new chapter.
