The Illinois Finance Authority is pleased to announce the Community Geothermal Planning Grant recipients. $731,575 in funding was awarded to the City of Vandalia, Elevate Energy, and the Oak Park Residence Corporation, to advance the planning and design of community-scale geothermal heating and cooling projects.
These projects represent the initial phase of the IFA’s $16 million Community Geothermal Program. Phase One planning efforts will prepare each awardee for future deployment and position them for upcoming Phase Two Pilot and Project Deployment Grants.
